OUR STORY

A Lifetime in Italian Kitchens

Chef Tony began his culinary journey in Italy in the early 1980s, working with pastry chef in a small café before moving to the United States in 1986.

He first worked in New Jersey and New York, gaining hands-on experience in some of the most competitive restaurant markets in the country. In 1988, he moved to Florida, later returning to NJ/NY until 1991 before permanently relocating back to Florida to build his career.

Over the next three decades, Chef Tony owned and operated multiple fine dining Italian restaurants across Florida, from Jupiter to Palm Beach.

His most notable achievement was Villaggio Italiano in Manalapan, Florida, a classic fine dining restaurant serving Palm Beach clientele, including guests of The Breakers, Four Seasons, and The Ritz-Carlton.

In 2009, he opened Toscana Ristorante Italiano in Ormond Beach near Daytona Beach, which he operated successfully until 2019.

THE CONNECTICUT CHAPTER

Chef Tony relocated to Connecticut with plans to open another full-service Italian restaurant. When the pandemic delayed those plans, the family adapted — launching Stella’s Pizza as a takeout and delivery concept built on the same culinary standards that defined his fine dining career.

What started as a pivot has grown into a strong local favorite.

And the long-term vision remains: expanding and reopening a full dining room experience.
